# Every World Press Photo of the Year (2000–2025)

The World Press Photo of the Year is photojournalism's most prestigious award. From the Kosovo war in 2000 to Gaza in 2025, by way of the Indian Ocean tsunami, the Arab Spring – with Spaniard Samuel Aranda's image in 2012 – and the pandemic: every winning photo since 2000, with its photographer and subject. Dane Mads Nissen has won it twice.
