Pico de Orizaba, or Citlaltépetl, at 5,636 m on the Puebla–Veracruz border, is Mexico's highest summit, followed by Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. Almost all of the country's great peaks are volcanoes of the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt. The list ranks the 20 highest mountains by elevation, with prominence and state, following the Spanish Wikipedia list, which relies mainly on INEGI data.
