Athens and Thessaloniki stand out, but right behind them come Patras, Piraeus, Heraklion and Larissa. This is the list of Greece's 20 most populous settlements according to the 2021 census by ELSTAT, with the 2011 figure for comparison. More than half of them are suburbs of Athens, which are counted separately.
