Dartmouth isn't a village, it's a town
Same for Salcombe really, but they're both so pretty
Hope Cove for a swim and a pint, best summer afternoon
Beer is my favourite, crab sandwich on the beach
Branscombe is so long, walk the whole thing down to the sea
Clovelly is lovely but you have to pay to get in, which feels odd for a village
The entrance fee pays for the upkeep, it's privately owned
Fair enough, still worth it
Where is Hartland? Or Bantham?
Bantham is more of a beach than a village
Dittisham and the ferry across to Greenway, Agatha Christie's house
Widecombe at the fair in September is great fun
Appledore is so colourful, lovely little galleries
Cockington is a bit touristy but the thatched cottages are gorgeous
Lynmouth and the cliff railway are a must
Clovelly at number one is right, there's nowhere else like it
Good list but North Devon deserves more love
Totally agree, the north coast is wilder and quieter
Lustleigh is the prettiest village on Dartmoor, quiet and perfect
